Connect to Wonde: Schools with an Existing Wonde Connection (Admin User Only)
Read What is an MIS integration?to learn more about connecting data from your MIS with Learning Ladders using the Wonde integration.
As your school already uses Wonde for other third party applications, connecting your Learning Ladders and MIS is a simple process.
Step 1
Learning Ladders will search in the Wonde database for your school.
Step 2
Once your school is located in the Wonde database, we'll request access to your the data in your school's MIS.
Your school's Wonde Administrator will receive an email from Wonde asking them to approve the request to connect with Learning Ladders.
Your Wonde Administrator is the person in school who has previously connected Wonde with other third party applications (this is usually an IT Administrator, Business Manager or senior leader).
During the authorisation process, your Wonde Administrator will be able to see the scope of permissions (the data) that Learning Ladders is requesting to sync. Below is a summary of this:
Students details, including UPN, name, date of birth, year, class, ethnicity and any particular attributes such as SEN or EAL
Parents details (only those linked to students within your MIS), including name and email address
Until your Wonde Administrator authorises the request sent by Wonde, set-up will not be able to progress.
Step 3 Learning Ladders receive a notification from Wonde once the Wonde Administrator in your school has authorised the integration.
Note: The data from your MIS is not syncing with Learning Ladders until Learning Ladders completes steps 4 & 5.
Step 4
Learning Ladders will enable the MIS integration feature in your Learning Ladders URL. (Please allow 1-2 working days after authorisation for this to happen). This will create an additional setting in your Admin settings under MIS Integration.
Step 5
Learning Ladders will enter the school's Wonde key and select a Learning Ladders Admin User to receive daily update reports from Learning Ladders, updating them of any actions/issues with the data sync. This will be the user who requested the Wonde integration, but can be changed by an Admin user later.
Settings> Settings> MIS Integration and select a different Admin User from the drop down menu.
(Admin user function only)
Learning Ladders click 'Synchronise now' to begin the flow of data from your MIS into Learning Ladders.
You're connected!
Step 6 Learning Ladders will email the person who requested the MIS integration to inform them that the MIS integration is complete and that data from your school's MIS is syncing with Learning Ladders.
We recommend that your Learning Ladders Admin user spot checks classes, students and parents to ensure the synchronisation has been successful and is accurate.
If you notice anything unexpected about the data from the synchronisation, it is important to report this immediately so that we can address this.
The integration will update daily, updating the student/parent data in Learning Ladders from the changes in your MIS.
We will contact your Learning Ladders Lead at the end of the Summer Term to disable the integration ahead of migration. Once migrated, the integration easily be connected again to continue syncing for the new academic year.
