How does Learning Ladders Measure Attainment and Progress
Assessment Summary measures progress and attainment over the current academic year of the student rather than cumulatively.
Progress points are gained from assessments made in any year group for a pupil (associated to the current academic year, not historical).
For example; if a child in Year 4 is being assessed on Y3 statements, but associated to a half term for this academic year, the assessments will add to their progress percentage for this academic year.
Attainment is based on the pupils current academic year only.
For example; any assessments made for a year 3 pupil on year 3 rungs/curriculum objectives will show up as attainment. Any prior years (year 2 or below on the above example) or future years (year 4 and above) will not show as attainment but will for progress.
If you select only one half term, e.g. Summer 1, you will only see Attainment as a cumulative result to that term.
