How to Create and Edit Custom Groups of Students

The groups functionality allows both teachers and administrators to create groups of students for both assessment and analysis. There is no limit the number of groups a user can create and similarly, no limit to the number of groups a student can be in.
How to Create a Group Manually
  • Click on "Classes and Groups"
  • Select "Groups"
  • Select "New Group"
  • Name your group and click "Submit"

How to Add Teachers or Students to a Group

  • Go into your group and select "Edit Mode"

  • To add teachers or students to the group, click the respective 'Add...' button
  • Use the search function to filter the teachers/students you would like to add
  • Once you have found the individual, repeat the process until all teachers/students have been added to the group.

Tip: Learning Ladders has an autosave function so there's no need to click save at this point!

How to Import Groups using the Import File

Groups can be created using a Student Import file It is important that the student's UPN is the same as it is in Learning Ladders to avoid duplication.



How to Edit a Group
  • Click on "Classes and Groups"
  • Select "Groups"
  • Select the group you would like to edit by clicking on its name

  • Select "Edit Mode

  • To add teachers or students to the group, click the respective 'Add...' button
  • Use the search function to filter the teachers/students you would like to add
  • Once you have found the individual, repeat the process until all teachers/students have been added to the group.
