How to Create Your Own Ladders

NB: Make sure you've read our guidance on what happens when changing your ladder rungs!

Click on 'Ladders'
Click on 'Creation Zone'

The Creation Zone is where you can make any amendments to your ladders in a 'safe environment' before pushing the changes live to your classes.

Remove the ladders you don't want using the red bin icon (for example, if you are not going to use the content provided by Learning Ladders)
Click 'Create new Ladder'
Name your ladder, choose the subject it belongs to and click 'Create Ladder and start assigning rungs'

Click 'Create rungs' and enter the rungs in the relevant year groups, clicking 'Save rung' as you go
When you have finished, click 'Save ladder' at the top
Use the back arrow to return to the Creation Zone, click 'Go To Page' then 'Review and Publish Changes' when you are happy with your Ladders

Your new Ladder will appear in Ladders> 'My Ladders'

If you adding a subject to your Learning Ladders site for the very first time, please email support@learningladders.info to let us know what you have done once you have published the new ladders to your site.

Due to the way the curriculum is structured within Learning Ladders, you will find that each class won't have access to the ladder rungs lower than their current year group. This isn't an issue and has been created to work this way, we simply need to change a setting on your site for all classes to see the whole new ladder.
