Adding Students to EYFS
Students can be added to Learning Ladders' EYFS module through an import file, manually or synced by an MIS Integration.
If an active MIS integration has been set-up in KS1+ then this will automatically sync pupils into the EYFS module and update. The MIS integration is controlled from 'Settings' in KS1+.
Adding students to EYFS using an import file
- Click "Students" from the navigation menu
- In the top right, click "Add Students"> "Import Students"
- If you need support with exporting a file from your MIS, please visit the relevant Help Centre article below
- Please ensure that your import file has the below headers filled out:
- UPN*
- Forename*
- Surname*
- Middle name(s)
- Date of Birth (DOB)*
- Gender*
- Class Group*
- Year group (Year)*
- Ethnicity Code
- English as additional language
- SEN Status Code
- Pupil Premium Indicator
- In LEA Care
- Service Children Education Indicator
- FSM Ever 6
- Parent First Name
- Parent Last Name
- Parent Email Address
* indicates mandatory
- Click on 'Choose File' to find and upload your file
- Select 'Import'
- If you have any errors in your import file you will receive an error message and downloadable report directing you to the issue. Please correct these within your MIS or import file
- Your pupils will automatically update based on their details in the pupil file
Please be aware the parent will be associated to the child/pupil they are on the same row as. You will be able to see this in 'Students'> 'View' and within the Ladders at Home 'Parents' tab
Codes for year groups in EYFS are:
PS - Pre School 0-3 years
N- Nursery 3 & 4 years
R- Reception 4 & 5 years

Tip: Your classes will always default back to those in the MIS file import, if you amend your classes within Learning Ladders any new MIS file will over-ride your class changes.
