1. Click on ‘Settings’ on the left hand menu

2. Click on ‘Users’
3. In the top right corner click ‘Import Users’

4. Here you are able to import your User file. You can either select your CSV to upload or download a template. Your CSV must contain the following headers;
Email

This should be the user's school email address. If the user has a child in the school and would like to be added as a parent in Ladders at Home, they will need to use a different email address.
First Name
Last Name
Role: (for the user in Learning Ladders: ‘Admin’ / ‘Teacher’)
Admin users have additional permissions in the system e.g. access to settings to change the assessment policy, creation zone to change the assessment framework and Ladders at Home parent sharing information. They can view data for all classes across the school.

We advise limiting the number of admin users to minimise risk of changes to settings affecting your data.
Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, etc. (this needs to be the header. In the columns you will be able to label each class)

Note: Admin users are assigned to all classes so there is no need to write the class names.

Click ‘Choose your file’ and select your .CSV file
Once selected, click ‘Import’. All users will be processed Learning Ladders. Each user will receive an email with the schools unique URL and a temporary password, and the user who imported the file will receive an email with the results of the import.
If there are any issues with the import a red box will appear saying the import has not been successful. Please check the column headers in the CSV first. If these are different from the above, they will not import successfully. Should you have any further issues please contact support@learningladders.info

Can I use the import file to refine permissions of a user?
No, you can only refine a users' permissions using the enhanced permissions manually and for one user at a time. Read more: Enhanced User Permissions.
Please find the User import file attached and an example file populated to exemplify the above requirements.
