How to Upload Evidence Against an Assessment

Users can upload evidence to support any assessment.  Time saving tools such as bulk upload enables users to upload evidence for multiple objectives and students.  Evidence builds a powerful picture of learning to use for internal moderation or to engage parents in learning to share via Ladders at Home

Upload evidence against an assessment in Classes & Groups
  • Click on 'Classes & Groups' then 'Classes'
  • Click on 'Assessment' and choose 'Class Assessment'
  • Select your Class, choose a Subject and choose a Rung Year
  • The 'Academic Year' will automatically be selected.
  • Once you have recorded an assessment, click the 'Evidence Upload' button
 

  • Underneath each assessment is a round circle containing a tick.
  • Click the circle to mark the assessments you would like to upload evidence for.  Select assessments for multiple students, across multiple objectives.
                                 
  • Either drop the file into the box or click inside the box to choose your file.  See the screenshot below for accepted file types and maximum file sizes.


  • To record a supporting description for the evidence, click into the open text box to begin typing.  This description will display next to the evidence.


  • If you wish to share the evidence with parents through Ladders at Home, click 'Share'. You can click 'Unshare' if you share the evidence by mistake.   Evidence is viewable for parents 2 hours after clicking 'Share'.  Read more about enabling 'share evidence' in Ladders at Home settings.
What do parents see if Evidence is shared?



How to view uploaded Evidence 
  1. To view Evidence, click on Evidence Upload > Show Evidence Upload



Tip: An eye icon will appear when evidence has been uploaded. The icon will turn blue for shared evidence and black for unshared evidence.
                                                            

  1. Click the eye icon to view the evidence you have uploaded.

  1. Options include 'Unshare', to unshare and remove the evidence from portfolio in Ladders at Home, 'View' which opens the file or 'Delete'.
  2. Click Evidence Upload > Hide Evidence Upload to return to the assessment record page.


Upload Evidence for an individual Student
  1. Click on Students and locate the student
  2. Click on Add Assessment
  3. Use the drop down menus to select the subject and aspect/ladder
  4. Add your assessment
  5. Once you have added an assessment, click the cloud icon.

2. Click on the upload area and choose your file or simply drag and drop your file into the area.

Tablet Device:
The process for uploading evidence is the same on tablet devices however, once you have clicked to upload evidence you can select your device's camera and take a photograph to upload.
