I have mixed age classes, how do I migrate these classes?

Admin users import students using the exported student information for the Management Information System (MIS).  When the import file is imported, the students are automatically allocated into the right class and will enable you to have students of different ages in the same class.

There are a few considerations for mixed classes:

Recording an assessment

In Classes & Groups you will have an additional scroll option above the list of students, allowing you to view students of different ages.

When 'Year 5 Students' is selected, the list of students in the year 5 cohort are displayed, along with the associated Year 5 learning outcomes.  When the arrow is clicked to display 'Year 6 Students', the Year 6 learning outcomes will display.

Migration

During Migration your Admin user will be asked to roll students into the next academic year, so year 5 becomes year 6.  If the students will not remain in the same class in the next academic year, the Admin user should roll the whole class over together and after migration is completed, import the students with the new mixed class names to reshuffle them.

Please contact the team if you have any questions about mixed classes at support@learningladders.info
