Migration 25: With Wonde MIS Integration
This article outlines the Migration process for schools with a Wonde MIS integration. For a full overview of the 2025 migration, see Migration 2025.
Process with a MIS Integration
đź“… Migration Starts: 1st August 2025
When you log in from 1st August 2025, you'll see a “Welcome Back” message.
You’ll have two options:

What Happens if I Postpone Migration?
âś… You CAN still
- Download data from Assessment Summary and Insights in EYFS and KS1+/Grade 1+.
❌ You CANNOT:
Choosing “I Am Ready - Migrate”
You’ll see a “Congratulations, you have migrated” message.

🔄 Reconnect Your MIS Sync
To re-enable syncing with your MIS:
Click “Contact Support to re-enable the sync.”
This opens an email – please confirm:
Until the sync is re-established, your dashboard will show all students from 2024/25, but 0 Classes and 0 Groups.

Archiving Leavers
If your MIS is iSAMS, you will need to manually archive any leavers in Learning Ladders, as iSAMS does not currently share leavers data. Go to Students > Filter Class to 'no class', use the check box to select the students and then 'Select Action' > Archive Students.

As far as we are aware. all other MIS providers share leavers data, as long as the leavers field has a leavers date.
Next Steps
There are 3 next steps you may wish to update to ensure your Learning Ladders is up to date for 2025/26.
1. Add Groups
2. Review Student Attributes
3. Update Users
Add Groups
Important: The Wonde MIS Integration does not currently sync Groups.
👇 You have two options:
Option 1: Copy Last Year’s Groups
Option 2: Import Groups via Student Data Export
Go to Students > Import Students > Download Student Data
In the file, enter the group name each student belongs to.

âž• Add More Than 9 Groups?
Click on Students, search for the student, mark the checkbox to the left of their name
Click 'Select Action' > Add to group

Assign teacher users to the groups by clicking on Classes & Groups > Groups > View and then 'Add Teachers'

Review Student Attributes
The Wonde MIS Integration syncs only default student attributes from your MIS. Custom attributes must be added manually.
Default student attributes include gender, ethnicity, SEN (SEN codes), EAL (yes/no only), PP (yes/no), LAC (yes/no).
The integration will only sync these responses if the field is populated in your MIS.
Student attributes are linked to the academic year. This means:
Any changes made for 2025/26 will not affect attributes saved for 2024/25.
Students will retain their 2024/25 attributes unless manually updated for the new year.
❌ How to Remove an Attribute from a Student
To remove an attribute from an individual student:
Go to Students
Search for and select the student
Click Edit Student
Remove the unwanted attribute
If you need to remove a default attribute from a student, you will need to remove the default attribute from the student in your MIS. When the sync next runs, it will remove the attribute from the student in Learning Ladders.
To remove a custom attribute from an individual student, go to Students > find the student > edit student and remove the attribute.
âž• How to Add an Attribute to a Student
Default Attribute
To add a default attribute to a student, you can add this to the student in your MIS. When the sync next runs, the student will be updated.
We are aware that iSAMS is currently unable to share SEN codes with providers. The SEN code will need to be applied to students using the import/manual process below.
Custom Attribute
You must first create the custom attribute in Settings > Settings > Custom Attributes. Learn more. You can add a custom attribute to a student in two ways. Learn more. Update Users
Users will remain in the site after it has migrated. As all classes have been removed, you will need to update the classes you'd like users to have access to.
âž• How to Add a Class for a User
It is not currently possible to assign classes to users using the Wonde MIS Integration.
To add classes for a user:
Go to Settings
Click on Users
Click Export Users
Open the file from your downloads

All users have no classes assigned to them.
To assign a class, write in the class name they require access to in the fields Class 1, Class 2 etc.
- Update your users after you have reconnected your MIS sync/ imported students.
- You can add up to 12 classes on an import file.
- Admin users have access to all classes and student data across the site.

The export file can only be used to add classes to users. To remove access to a class, you need to do this manually in Settings > Users > View and then unselect the class from the drop down menu 'Teaches classes'.
To change a user's permission from 'Teacher' to 'Admin', you must manually edit this in Settings > Users > View and then change their role using the drop down beneath 'Role'.
