Using the Ladder Bank (Admin User Only)

The Ladder Bank is available to all administrators and holds any content schools can add to their Learning Ladders site and customise or use.

To use any ladders from the Ladder Bank, simply click "Add to Creation Zone" for individual ladders or "Add Subject to Creation Zone" for the whole subject.

There are multiple curriculum sources in the Ladder Bank, so click the middle selector, showing 'Learning Ladders' in the above image, to see all sources.

What is the difference between the National Curriculum and Learning Ladders Framework?

For some subjects in the National Curriculum Framework, the learning outcomes explain that students need to know X by the end of year 6, it does not breakdown the outcomes into those to be assessed in year 5 and 6.  Therefore, the year 6 content in the National Curriculum subjects will need to be allocated to the year the school will assess the objective.  Every year group requires outcomes to assess against and this will be an exercise by the subject leader or SLT.

The Learning Ladders Framework provides schools with outcomes for every year group, with the National Curriculum Framework outcomes already broken down into each year they will be taught and assessed.  This can save time and means admin users can simply review the ladders, make any edits & publish this framework.

Due to the way the curriculum is structured within Learning Ladders, you will find that each class won't have access to the ladder rungs lower than their current year group. This isn't an issue and has been created to work this way, we simply need to change a setting on your site for all classes to see the whole new ladder.

Please note: You will need to publish any changes through the creation zone before the ladders will be visible for your teachers to asses against or view within Gap Analysis.
