What do the Assessment Points in Students and Classes & Groups relate to?

Your assessment points/milestones are set by your school's senior leaders.  Only Admin users can view these milestones in Settings but as a teacher user these are visible in Students / Classes & Groups when hovering over an assessment point:

The assessment points/milestones should reflect the language used in your school's formative assessment policy.

We recommend that teaching teams discuss each assessment point/milestone to fully understand what achieving each assessment point looks like e.g. Is the 3rd 'Secure' assessment point when a student can demonstrate this learning independently, in context, in a problem solving context?

What is the difference between the assessment points/milestones e.g. what is the difference between a student at the 1st assessment point 'beginning' and 'the 2nd, 'developing'.

These conversations will ensure consistent recording of assessment across the school and will support moderation.  Using Evidence is another effective way of moderating assessment, as well as embedding notes and resources in your curriculum for teachers to see examples of a 'secure' learning example.
